COURSE DESCRIPTION
Pundits on both the left and the right have suggested that we can reduce the political polarization of American society by focusing on shared values. This course invites class members to explore that proposition. What are the shared values of American culture? In what ways do these values help us to bridge divides? In what ways do they emphasize our differences? Are there policies or practices that could help to create unity through shared values?
